This video has been released as per the instructions of Sheikha Latifa Mohammed Al Maktoum. Her request was the video be made public in the event her safety was compromised.

On 26 February 2018 the British NGO, Detained In Dubai, were contacted by a woman claiming to be Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Al Maktoum, the Crown Princess of Dubai and daughter of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates.

The woman requested assistance from Detained In Dubai as she was fleeing Dubai and her Father. She advised she was traveling with the former intelligence operative Jean Pierre Hervé Jaubert, a dual French/American citizen and another woman named Tina, who was believed at this point to be European. Subsequent investigation revealed her to be Finnish national Tiina Jauhiainen.

Upon initial contact, Detained In Dubai undertook rigorous enquiries to confirm the identity of the woman in question and her claims. A British solicitor, David Haigh, contacted various third parties who confirmed the contact to be true and indeed Princess Latifa (II). Whilst these enquiries were ongoing and after verification of her indeed being Princess Latifa, regular and lengthly contact between the Princess and Detained In Dubai was maintained.

SOS

At 18.24GMT on Sunday 4 March 2018, the CEO of Detained In Dubai, Radha Stirling, received a WhatsApp call from Princess. Latifa was in a panicked state and told Radha,

Radha, please help. There are men outside. I hear gunshots and I am hiding with my friend

This distress call indicated the yacht Latifa was on, the Nostromo, was being subjected to hostile activity. The co-ordinates, 50 miles from the coast of India, were noted and passed to the relevant authorities. Sadly, the Nostromo subsequently disappeared, along with its occupants.

Since the SOS call Princess Latifa made to Radha, there has been no communication from her or indeed any indication as to her exact whereabouts or well-being. This prompted the release of this video which Latifa herself said she ‘hoped would never be seen’ as it would mean her escape attempt had failed.
