The Princess’ Final Video

Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Al Maktoum II filmed a video prior to making her bid for freedom from Dubai, and her father.

Princess Latifa’s Message

Throughout the 39 minute recording it is clear that the Princess is both frightened and nervous. She repeatedly explains that she fears her father, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Saeed Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai.

Latifa describes her father as ‘evil’ and a ‘killer.’ She also states that she previously attempted to escape and was captured, then imprisoned and tortured on the orders of her father.

‘I Hope It’s Never Used’

The Princess makes it clear that she is recording the video solely to be published in the event her escape attempt fails. Fearing that if she failed, her life would be in significant danger, she says very clearly:

I HOPE THIS VIDEO IS NEVER USED.

Sadly, as we know, the video has now been published, and Princess Latifa has being missing since 4 March 2018.
